Special Agent Bryan Irwin is with the Alcohol Law Enforcement branch of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation. He has served as a task force officer with United States Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) investigating international, national and local human trafficking/smuggling cases. He served as the program manager for the development and implementation of North Carolina’s first statewide law enforcement effort specifically targeting human trafficking which became the Human Trafficking Unit (HTU), also known as Task Force Alpha. HTU also partnered with non-law enforcement state governmental organizations as well as non-governmental civilian organizations who provided direct and indirect victim services. Agent Irwin serves on the executive committee for North Carolina Coalition Against Human Trafficking (NCCAHT) and the steering committee for Project No Rest.
