Katie Pratt

As a data-scientist working in the healthcare field for over 5 years, Katie Pratt has experience implementing machine learning algorithms from the ground up and integrating them into existing software solutions. Along with maintaining an intimate knowledge of the quality and regulatory happenings in healthcare; feature engineering, data analysis, model evaluation, and algorithm development are all key aspects to her work. With every-day experience in Java, Docker, SQL, and Python, she often bridges the gap between business problems and their production solutions. A big fan of sudokus and other puzzles, there is nothing quite as satisfying to her as finding the best solution to a complex problem and optimizing both the model’s performance and the implementation’s efficiency. She lives with her husband and young son just south of Charlotte, and is a UNCC alumni.
