Call for Proposals
AFC Charlotte Submission Deadline: November 15, 2025
Hosted by UNC Charlotte’s School of Data Science and Truist, the Analytics Frontiers Conference is the Southeast’s premier data science event. Now in its 12th year, this one-day conference brings together leading voices in AI and data science. With an expected audience of 350, the conference brings together executives, researchers, entrepreneurs, government leaders, and academics, making it one of the region’s largest and most influential gatherings. Participants represent a wide range of industries, including financial services, healthcare, energy, retail, government, transportation and logistics, manufacturing, and technology. Charlotte’s position as a growing technology hub, home to eight Fortune 500 and sixteen Fortune 1000 companies, provides a vibrant backdrop for this event.
Suggested Topics: We invite AI and Data Science leaders to submit proposals in areas including (but not limited to):
- Generative AI in Practice: Prompt engineering, enterprise adoption, creative applications, productivity tools, and policy or ethics considerations
- Trust by Design: Fairness, transparency, bias detection, and explainability in AI systems
- Data to Decisions: Predictive maintenance, supply chain optimization, financial risk modeling, and marketing analytics
- Agentic AI & Autonomous Workflows: AI copilots, autonomous process automation, digital twins, and robotics
- Data Privacy & Security: Federated learning, differential privacy, secure computation, and regulatory compliance
- Ethics in Data Science: Responsible data sourcing, accountability frameworks, governance models, and societal impact
- Emerging Trends: Multimodal AI, real-time analytics, AI for sustainability, climate modeling, healthcare, and drug discovery
Proposals that incorporate experiential or hands-on elements are encouraged.



Format Options
Presentation | Panel Session
The Charlotte AFC 2026 conference offers three breakout session formats:
- Presentation Session (40–45 minutes): A focused talk on a specific topic, led by up to two presenters, followed by audience questions and discussion.
- Panel Session (40–45 minutes): A moderated discussion with up to four participants offering diverse perspectives on a topic. A followed by audience questions and discussion.
Submission Guidelines: Proposals should be submitted via our Whova Conference App by November 15, 2025. If you encounter any issues, please direct questions to sds-conferences@charlotte.edu. If your company’s firewall blocks access, email your proposal to sds-conferences@charlotte.edu with the subject line “Analytics Frontiers 2026 Presentation Proposal.”
Each proposal must include:

● Abstract (up to 250 words)
● Presenter Information:

○ LinkedIn profile
● Brief Biography (200 words or less)
● Professional, high-resolution headshot (300 DPI)
● Previous speaking experience (include links to slides, videos, or talks)
● Preferred Session Format: Presentation | Panel Session
Final slides due: January 31, 2026
Submissions will be reviewed by faculty from UNC Charlotte and industry partners. Selected presenters will be notified by email.
